mute words..
read Shady's comment on my previous post, please
i feel insanly ashamed of myself, because i douldnt express myself elequently.
i am in fact, probably, the most patriotic person you could ever meet.i dont want to leave egypt after i graduate,i want to stay here, and make a change.(thanks to @ i now know that i can actually make one!)
but dont u think that the people are sometimes to passive to learn? doesnt it hurt hearing someone talk about how egyptians are never on time..or how the dont do this and that the right way and cant say anything because its true?i think its sad,and it breaks my heart.
i love egypt, i love egyptians..and..i want them to change.there's so much potential within our people...but..

Hey Sara,
I think that there can definitely be a balance between being productive without giving up the laid back culture that comes with being an Egyptian, and I think that line is sometimes more blurred than it should be. While on a social level, time commitments are less important (lunch with friends at 3 tends to mean 530 in my personal experience), I agree that when it comes to work, there needs to be more urgency and commitment to time. I've grown up in the States though, so perhaps my view is a bit skewed.
Welcome to nomadlife Sara.
hi Sara,
hmmmm, i was a little bit upset when i saw ur post yesterday, i was a little bit harsh on u. i'm sorry!
well, we are all patriots of course, u are patriot as much as i am!
the point is, that we need to look into the things that are really affecting our community such as the lack of freedom, and how to encourage people to go ahead and ask for there rights, to open there minds to other cultures and make them feel that can change and handle there own future they can elect there Parliament representative, they can elect there own president. People should know and start thinking and acting this way!
we should fight neglect and the one man decision that we were suffering from since years and years now.
we are patriotic and we all want the best for our country.
you shouldn't feel ashamed of urself as u said, you and all of us should think realistic, and figure out how to make Egypt and Egyptians better in the right way. and not by changing Egyptians habits or exciting cultures.
Nice blog!
